Application
All required documents should be submitted to the Trademark, Industrial Design and Geographical Indication Office of the DPRK within 3 months from date of application.
Screening
The screening of your submitted documents takes up to 3 month from date of application.
Protection
Protection of your trademark is valid for 10 years and can be renewed by demand.
Required Documents for Trademark Application
By entry of a trademark registration application into the national phase
- Application form for trademark registration including the name of applicant, international classification and trademark name
- In case the trademark is already protected in other countries, a priority document should be submitted together with application form
- Letter of Attorney
- A document attesting the legal status of the applicant
- List of goods
- Trademark sample 5cm x 5cm, 5 pieces in black, 10 pieces in color
Application for trademark update
- Application for renewal of registered trademarks
- Letter of Attorney
- Certificate of registration issued by the Trademark Office
In case the owner’s name or address have to be changed
- Application for registration of changed items
- Letter of Attorney
- Document which confirms changes
- Certificate of registration issued by the Trademark Office
